This week was really good.  Yes i did get Bro. Bailey’s card, I sent him a letter back has he gotten it yet?
This is in response to a comment I made about it snowing here on Sunday:
You think your snow is bad the wind here is the worst. It’s like Chicago. haha it may say 70, but the wind chill is bad so it really is way cold.
So on Saturday we had a finding activity where you go around to all the yard sales you can, then find and talk to people.   Stake conference is this Sunday down in Los Lunas and we found out it is going to be L Tom Perry coming to talk to us.   So we are way excited. On Monday we had a mission temple day where they opened the temple just for the missionaries and it was awesome!   They do it every 6 months so that is way awesome. There is a lot of people we talk to and teach so we don’t do as much finding which is good haha. There is this guy that would be an awesome member he believes the whole church he just hasn't come to church. He loves learning about the people during Joseph Smith’s time because he knows  it couldn’t of just been that person he knows God had his hand in everything.   Didn’t you say we are related to one of Joseph Smiths bodyguards? If so can I get his name and some stories he loves the other body guard that wouldn’t get shot as long as he didn't cut his hair because he used to be a body guard. Things are pretty crazy and busy with all the investigators, but we are taking every day one at a time and it is only 2 more weeks we have to cover both areas.  Yes, we did get more miles for the car and they gave us a lot of miles so p days we can drive just about anywhere haha we were talking about taking a trip to the alamo reservation or bellin haha. we have 3 baptisms hopefully on the 27th.   There is one guy we aren’t sure if he will be able to quit drinking, but he is awesome he goes by Panda haha.   We are teaching about 20 lessons a week which I think is good but,  yeah things are going fantastic idk what else to tell you haha.

So I found out that the ward won’t be split into 3 areas this transfer,  We lost the other set of missionaries in our ward.  The one that was in the hospital went home to recover a little  and the other one they transferred to Socorro New Mexico so now we are the only ones in the sage ward. It is kinda crazy we are trying to get a hold on to everything we now have 5 investigators with baptismal dates and we are hoping to get a few more soon. Things are going crazy here. We haven’t had any baptisms yet the closest one keeps getting pushed back because she hasn’t been able to come to church because of work but she just quit her job and we are excited to see her come this week.
This week for p day we went and painted a tire shop, then we went to Rio Grande trading which is a gift shop owned by a member and it was really cool.  Then we went to old town and that is really cool you can’t tell how big it is until you are actually there.   After that we went and did a little shopping.  Then a member called and asked us to help him pick up some seed packets that blew all over his yard because the wind is so bad here. ( He is in a wheelchair that’s why he asked us). during that I discovered how much I dislike cactuses there was a packet in a cactus and so I decided I could get it and I was doing great but it’s not the big spikes that get you there is tiny hairs that they have that just stick everywhere so every time I would brush my hand on something I could feel more and I would have to pick them out. I think I got them all out now but it wasn’t fun during that time.  So Sunday we watched conference just at the church building so we pretty much spent all of Saturday there and a lot of Sunday there, it was really good. I liked Holland’s talk. I  like how he takes Jesus’s ministry and applies it to us and how we can become more like Christ.  I noticed he did that last conference too.

Anyways my week went good we spent most of the time planning and rescheduling because we had to fit everyone in now that we have the other missionaries investigators and whole area along with ours. It kinda stinks they left because now we are the only English speaking missionaries in our district and they always speak Spanish so we never know what is going on.  that’s alright. this week we have alot planned so we are really excited to meet with everyone. Oh another thing feed the missionaries whenever you can that is the best there are certain families that we eat at a lot and its really nice.

Easter

My Easter was great we just went to church then we walked to a less active families house, but they weren't home. Then we went to dinner over at this sister’s house and she is pretty much going to feed us this whole week, she is awesome she has the huge guard duck  haha it’s awesome. After dinner we went to Casey’s, our investigators, house and just kinda talked to her about the resurrection. Its kinda funny when you think of a missionary you think of just teach teach teach, but a lot of what we do is talk to the people see how there doing get to know them and then teach to their needs. There is a lot of mega churches around here its kinda weird. Oh yeah I don’t remember if I told you, but on Easter people I think thought we were Jehovah’s witnesses  and were yelling out Happy Easter at us to see our reaction, but we got the better reaction from them when we said it back and they were all confused. Me and my comp are really excited because we have miles now so we can drive all over to visit people and we don’t have to restrict ourselves to certain areas each day. I’m thinking about buying a bike because how our car thing works is we get 900 miles a month and if we run out then we have
to walk or bike, so if we run out again this month I think I’m going to get a bike My guess is I  will be in this area until the beginning of August and the new President will be here. They are going to be opening up a bunch of areas this next transfer because we have 4 missionaries leaving and I think 32 coming in they are thinking that we are going to get some sisters in our ward so there would be 3 sets of us in one ward it is so crazy.  The Spanish ward has 3 sets already how crazy haha.  Not much is really going on. I think elder Haskel going to the hospital was kinda an answer to our prayers he has been teaching a girl in the room next to him and she has a baptismal date,  she is in our area so we have another investigator once she gets out of the hospital. Its kinda crazy the ways the Lord works. Well I love you all and hope you have a great week.
